This is my main sport. I ski whenever I can, so now I have three months off (which is nice) I am going to try to ski EVERY day! I started skiing just for fun but then Richard Entract (top bloke) encouraged me to take it up more seriously which is what I ended up doing. Since then I have come a long way. All that skiing at ridiculous times in the morning (6:00am) paid off, I think? Last year I was ranked thirty-second in the country which was a large improvement on my eighty-fourth the year before. I also came second in tricks in Div 2 and third overall. Thanks Richard, Dad, John Battleday (my coach, another very scary bloke as I'm sure he and everyone else who knows him would agree) and The Cirencester Crew (Barry, Viv, Bob and everyone that has sat in the boat for me) Cotswold waterski Club (Exterior) Cirencester waterski club (Exterior)
Hmmm, a bit of a painful one as I have just written my Dads mountain bike off. DOH! This isn't something I compete in, it's just a good reason to get muddy and jump about on a bike a bit. It is also very useful for walking my dog, Molly. This is a short surf board which you strap to your feet and then get towed behind a boat on whilst doing a couple of tricks at the same time. I don't compete in this either. However my skateboard often is seen following me around the waterski competition circuit, especially at Hazelwoods and Tallington. This used to be something I did every weekend at Gloucester until waterskiing "happened" I used to really enjoy slalom a lot and I also enjoyed watching people over-shoot the ski slope and land in the car park. Excellent. Snow skiing is now something I just do if I get the chance. |
